Faker – Love For Sale Tour

FAKER prove they’re lovers not fighters when they roll out their LOVE 4 SALE TOUR next month. The tour will also feature fellow Sydney lovers (acts) VAN SHE and THE VALENTINOS. FAKER’S LOVE 4 SALE TOUR is one hot ticket, you definitely want to get your mitts on!

Over the Summer, the gents from FAKER wooed audiences at the Falls Festival and Big Day Out perfecting their brand of darkly polished melodic pop and taking to the main stages at the BDO like a duck to water. Already renown for their energetic and exuberant live shows, FAKER did not disappoint early comers to the BDO where they led the crowds in sing-a-longs to Quarter To Three, Hurricane and Teenage Werewolf and front man Nathan Hudson was often found hanging from the scaffolding or singing atop speaker stacks romancing every inch of his captive audience.

With a common penchant for borrowing from the past to create something unique, fresh and modern for the future, FAKER have invited VAN SHE & THE VALENTINOS along for ride as the two main support acts on the LOVE 4 SALE TOUR.

Forming in early 2005, VAN SHE have a self titled EP under their belts already and are stealthily growing a legion of fans at their live shows that drummer, Tomek Archer describes as, “a live act on stage super sized with electronic toys.” Do you love the indie 80s synth music from The Breakfast Club and Karate Kid films? Early 2005 also saw the birth of DIY enthusiasts THE VALENTINOS who also released a self titled EP (produced by Kim Moyes of The Presets). Described as the “closest things we have to The Bloc Party” (CAT Magazine) THE VALENTINOS find influence in everything from Manga films to bands including Gang Of Four and Primal Scream. THE VALENTINOS’ mission is to get kids dancing – and their synthed post punk dance storm is sure to be the key.
